October 1st - The Oregon Ridge Nature Center with Sandra, Alister and Dylan
We actually go to Oregon Ridge quite often, not only to check out the frogs, turtles and snakes at the Nature Center, but also to go to the great playground (which we call the "Dragon Park") and hike the trails. The trails are short enough for little feet to trek. October 5th - Z's Birthday
For Zoey's actual birthday we opened gifts in the morning and in the evening invited friends over for our "surprise" rainbow cake. Z's favorite gift: A Dorothy Barbie. Thanks to my friend Sierra (www.manictroutblog.com) for introducing us to this awesome cake! On the outside, it looks plain and white...
But on the inside....SURPRISE!
A double rainbow..what does it mean!!!? It means Z is now officially 5!
October 6th - Trip to the Baltimore Zoo with Z's preschool
Villa Cresta Tots program goes each year to the Baltimore Zoo. Although we are Zoo members and go a lot, this trip was nice because we got to do some of the things we don't usually do when it's the three of us (Kira was not with us.)
Here's the whole class ready to go have fun!
The coolest thing was when Zoey fed the Giraffe!
Checking out some of the elephant's teeth and hair. Did you know an elephant's tail hair feels like a guitar string? You do now!
And of course, Zoey's favorite thing - riding the carousel!

Love it Jess, the photo pf the girls waiting to see you cut open the cake is fantastic, esp Kira's face, lol!! Thank you for the shout out!!
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I did not know that an elephants tail was like guitar string...awesome fact for the day.
I have so much fun seeing your adventures with girls!
